True roots
Some months back I received a phone call from a NY filmmaker working on a documentary about the real roots of rock. He'd seen my essay, Birthing Little Richard about my own experiences during this period. At any rate, he's also put together a 2-CD collection of great roots music, called Rock Before Elvis.
